HOMESTAY GUIDELINES
Homestay Family Guidelines
-
Not to have another overseas person of the same nationality as the student/s in our home during this program
-
If hosting another student of a different nationality, not to host a student of the opposite sex
-
To speak English as the main language at home, in the presence of the studentv To provide the student/s with 3 suitable meals per day
-
To provide suitable accommodation and sleeping arrangements
-
To arrange accompanied transport to and from the study centre
-
To treat the student as a family member
-
To ensure that the student/s expenses are included during any family outings
-
To ensure that the student/s is/are not left on their own at any time. (Please contact GSI if need be)

To attend the Farewell Party, if required, with the visiting student/s. (Please contact GSI if you are unable to attend)

Not to allow the student/s to have any tattoos, hair colouring or body piercings during the program

Not to allow the student/s to be involved in dangerous/risky activities without consent from the Tour Leader. See IMPORTANT RULES, paragraph 4 of the Homestay Family Guidebook. (Please consult GSI if you are in doubt of an activity)

Not to allow the student/s to travel in a vehicle driven by a person under the age of 18yrs.

Not to take the student/s away overnight, leave the students with another person or have another person transport the student/s unless GSI has been made aware of these arrangements and given permission.

Not to leave the student/s by themselves under any circumstances when visiting parks, the city, shoppingcentres or any other outings.

Working with Children Check / Blue Card
To become eligible to host a student, you will need to either get a Working with Children Check if you are located in New South Wales or a Blue Card if located in Queensland. Please click the images below to find out how to apply.
